Setting the Standard

Our client is seeking an experienced Audit manager to join their financial services firm based in Taunton.

Overall job purpose: Manage a team to plan, lead and finalise audits across a portfolio of clients, covering multiple industries.
You will be required to:
  • Plan, lead and finalise audits for a wide variety of clients with a broad range of turnovers
  • Manage a complex portfolio of clients, providing advice and well-reasoned arguments to arrive at balanced judgements
  • Advise clients on all areas of business
  • Take responsibility for a wide portfolio of clients, and manage the workload of the team
  • Develop the less experienced members of staff by reviewing their work and providing general supervision
  • Build upon and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients
  • Ensure assignments are run within budget, to time and to resource requirements
  • Supervise multiple jobs, direct the preparation and completion of reports, accounts and financial statements
  • Be actively involved in business development activities
  • Review work and ensure key point are communicated to Partners and clients
  • Formulate reasoned and practical views and recommendations
You must:
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload
  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified with experience of managing clients
  • Have previous experience as an audit manager
  • Have experience of Auditing procedures
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be computer literate
  • Be able to work from your own initiative and as part of a team

Hours: 37.5 per week
