Setting the Standard

Due to expansion, we are seeking an experienced Sales/Recruitment Consultant to join our team in our office based in Tiverton.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Place suitable candidates to meet client requirements in order to achieve revenue in line with personal goals
  • Identify, progress and convert sales leads as required
  • Actively seek new business for the company through cold calling and telesales
  • Building on, maintaining and profitably develop new and existing client relationships
  • Meeting with new and existing clients, conducting site visits to help better understand the clients requirements and the environment our candidates will be working in, taking note of any health and safety issues or other issues that may arise when a candidate is place
  • Negotiating rates, establish and agree terms and conditions of service with new and existing clients
  • Identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to fulfill requirements
  • Ensure all necessary administration, payment and aftercare services are concluded in-line with company procedures
  • Ensure all candidates and clients receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Conduct regular reviews with both candidates and clients to ensure continuous improvement
  • Entering candidates details onto a database and filing all paperwork appropriately
  • Effective use of the database in order to fill temporary and permanent vacancies
  • Checking all candidates right to work documents and ensuring these are kept up-to-date when/if necessary
  • Reviewing applicants CV’s and comparing these to job descriptions to establish a candidates suitability for any given role. Offer candidates advice on improving their CV if necessary.
  • Interviewing and assessing prospective applicants and matching them with vacancies at client companies
  • Meeting the general public when they visit the office, dealing with their enquiries, registering and inducting temporary staff

Person Specification:

  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to be flexible and adaptable
  • Be able to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Have excellent organisational skills, be able to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure
  • Be able to work to deadlines and targets
  • Be confident and have excellent presentation skills
  • Be able to follow procedures quickly and accurately
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Have good administration skills
  • Willing to take out of hours phone calls/on-call
  • Be highly driven to meet targets an grow the business
  • Previous experience within a sales environment with a proven track record of successful sales
  • Previous experience within recruitment a distinct advantage but not essential as we are willing to take on an enthusiastic trainee with a desire to achieve
  • Full Driving Licence and own transport is essential as the role will require you to make client visits.

Additional information:

  • Working Hours – 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday (Half an hour for Lunch), additional on-call work when required
  • 4 weeks holiday + Bank Holiday
