Setting the Standard

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and highly-driven individuals to join their team as trainee bookkeepers.

Overall job purpose: To complete a chosen training qualification whilst being an integral member of the team, helping to provide an exceptional service to all clients.
You will be required to:
  • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Process basic monthly journals
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Assist with bookkeeping and data processing for a variety of clients
  • Maintain accounts records using Sage and Xero
  • Carry out tasks promptly, to deadlines, ensuring they are accurate
  • Deal with basic enquiries from Clients and refer them to other members of staff if this is not possible
  • Develop and build constructive relationships
You must:
  • Have exceptional organisational skills
  • Be computer literate
  • Be highly motivated and able to work from your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be comfortable working in a variety of different environments and dealing directly with clients
  • Be enthusiastic and driven to develop your technical knowledge, skills and experience
  • Use your initiative to be able to identify when you require assistance to develop a solution
  • Have at least 5 GCSE’s (grade A*-B or level 9-5) including Maths and English and a minimum of 2 A-Levels (grade A*-B)
Hours: 37.5
