Overall Job Purpose:

Our Client is seeking and experienced Cabinet Maker to join their successful team and work alongside one of the UK’s leading Cabinet & Furniture manufacturers. The successful candidate will be required to produce wide ranges and free standing cabinets and also work to complete bespoke “full room” projects.

Responsible to: Production Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Making complete pieces from start to finish:

· Measure, mark and outline dimensions on lumber stock
· Cut & Shape material to specifications or drawings
· Match materials for grain colour or texture
· Set & operate a wide variety of woodworking machines
· Use of various hand / power tools
· Trim components/parts for assembly
· Assembling Parts & Components to construct finished article
· Sand surfaces/joints to prepare for final finishing
· Installation/Fitting of components such as hinges, draw pulls, locks and catches

Person Specification

· Previous experience working as a Cabinet Maker with a strong background in solid and veneered construction
· Hands on approach to work
· Experience of using a range of Woodworking machines and Hand Tools.
· Ability to work as part of team
· Prides themselves on exceptional craftsmanship

Qualifications and Certification

· Diploma, NVQ or Time Served Apprenticeship in either Carpentry or Joinery. In the absence of formal qualifications, relevant experience will be considered
· Candidates will be required to provide Images/Portfolio of previous work.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Full Time)

Probation: 3 Months’ Probation

Training and Development: At manager’s discretion
