Overall Job Purpose: To join the successful team as a Catering Assistant. You will be expected to shadow and assist your team members while they undertake a variety of preparing/serving tasks. This will primarily be to establish a brand new kiosk and continue to maintain a high-level of service to the client’s customers.

Responsible to: Catering Supervisor

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Cash handling
Opening the trailer in the morning
Cooking meat to be served for that day
Preparing vegetables & other raw ingredients
Maintaining hygiene standards and documentation
Stock management & ordering in the absence of the supervisor
Following correct closing down procedures at the end of the day
Be prepared to work at multiple catering kiosks around Devon and Cornwall

Personal Specifications:

High standard of cleanliness
Excellent customer service skills
Must be reliable and trustworthy
Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours and practices
Demonstrate high standards and be well organised

Qualifications and Certification:

Driving licence with own transport
Previous experience working in catering preferred, but is not essential
Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety would be an advantage
Food hygiene certificate level 2 (although training can be provided)
In the absence of formal qualifications, relevant experience will be considered

Additional Information

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.00am – 3.00pm / Sunday 10.00am – 3.00pm (not including set up and clean down times.)

Location: Frome (Based)

Remuneration: £9.50ph

Probation: 3 month probationary period
