Overall Job Purpose: Preparing various work pieces and components for spraying and painting through completion of various tasks

Responsible to:

  • Workshop Supervisor
  • Managing Director

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Masking, sanding and rubbing down of components prior to painting
  • Cleaning, Treating and Polishing components if required
  • Stripping old paintwork
  • Use of hand/power tools i.e DA Sanders, Sanding blocks, Grinders, Drills etc

Personal Qualities and Qualifications

Personal Specifications:

  • Previous experience working within a paint/spray shop environment advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of working in a busy workshop environment
  • Hands on approach to work
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications and Certification:

  • None required however, qualifications in vehicle paint & body repair a distinct advantage.

Additional Information

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week)

Optional Overtime (1.5 x Hourly Rate)

Location: Willand

Remuneration: From £8.91 per hour

Probation:3 month probationary period
